Save Egyptian Halls, Glasgow

Egyptian Halls, 84-100 Union Street, Glasgow, is an architectural masterpiece of 1870-72 by Alexander 'Greek' Thomson for the iron manufacturer James Robertson. With the upper floors unoccupied for 40 years, the building is now in a perilous state and has been shortlisted by Europa Nostra for its '7 Most Endangered' programme. In order to demonstrate public support for the campaign to save the building, the Alexander Thomson Society are encouraging signatures on a petition to Glasgow City Council. The change.org petition can be found here: sign.
